The incredible submissions for our SLED art competition blew us away. Thank you for taking the time to create art that represents the wonderful work you do through SLED! May it inspire others whenever they see it in your class, school, or community.

First place goes to….🥁 Orange Grove Elementary School!

They collaborated with a professional artist to help design and paint two murals around their school. These murals express the beauty of “community”. The butterflies, for example, capture the beauty of growing together. Way to go Orange Grove Chapter! 🎨🦋

Second place goes to…🥁 Norris Middle School!

Norris made a SLED sign with photos of all their projects over the years. It is a beautiful representation of what SLED means to them and the impact they have had.

💙Honorable mention for Madison Elementary School 💙

They created a sculpture of a Tornado, which was knocked over. But - being persistent - they are rebuilding it!

“The reason we picked a tornado was to show hard work and dedication (and a little of the chaos). We used clay to make most of this project as well as cardboard. It took 4 people 5 hours over a week (recess and lunch times) to make this project. We are very proud of this project - the perfect and imperfect parts of it!”

Thank you to all who participated, and we hope you had fun flexing your creative muscles!
