What We Collect
Application technology metadata. When users access our website, our systems record the IP address, browser type, device type, and session cookies necessary to keep them logged in. The data is tied to a session. Students do not log in.
Assessment observation data. Periodically, adult facilitators answer a short set of questions about student activity during their program. For example: did they observe students collaborating, did groups persevere through challenges. Facilitators rate the room, not individual students. There is no field for a student's name and no way to attach a response to one. Responses provide districts with observational data about their programs.
Anonymous student survey responses. Students may be asked to complete short surveys about their learning experience periodically. For example, students might be asked whether they compared two ways of seeing a problem before picking one. Surveys are anonymous. Students do not log in, do not enter a name or ID, and responses carry no identifier that could be linked back to a person. Answers are aggregated for districts to track student perceptions of growth in their programs.
