What Good Curriculum Has to Do

Districts have made real commitments to human skills. The harder part has been finding a curriculum that develops them and proves it. Getting it right comes down to three things.

Skills Students Put to Use

Students can learn what collaboration means and still not do it when a group is counting on them. An effective curriculum teaches the skill, then returns students to it across new situations that require them to use it.

Learning Students Step Into

Human skills taught as theory rarely take hold. An effective curriculum puts students in experiences where using the skill is the only way to move forward, so students stay in it long enough to build something real.

Proof the Growth Is Real

Most curricula cannot answer whether the skill actually grew. An effective curriculum measures the skill while students are using it and tracks it against a clear developmental progression. That is what turns a record of activities into evidence a district can report and defend.

What Changes When Human Skills Are Built and Measured

Teachers

Lessons students enjoy that are easy to facilitate and build real skills.

School Leaders

One coherent curriculum across every classroom, building the same skills the same way.

District Leaders

Defensible human skills growth, ready to report alongside academics.

Students

Real practice in the skills that shape their future, and language to name their strengths.

Proven Impact. Measurable Results.

Our curriculum delivers research-backed outcomes for students, teachers, and districts. Backed by evidence, it's a trusted solution that drives measurable growth in human skills, engagement, and school climate.

Student Engagement

86%

86% of students rated their experience as "extremely positive," proving that human skills growth can be engaging and meaningful.

Collaboration Growth

96%

Students' collaboration grew from 68% at the start of the program to 96% by the end, the largest gain among the skills measured.

Teacher Confidence

91%

91% of teachers reported feeling confident implementing our curriculum after just one session, thanks to its facilitator-ready design and built-in supports.

Real Results: Human Skills Curriculum Delivers ESSA Impact

Our curriculum is ESSA Level III Rated, with five statistically significant findings from a study of 806 facilitators across 14 participating districts. Learn how we deliver measurable growth in human skills aligned to federal funding requirements.

What Makes the Skills Stick

Human skills do not grow from worksheets. The curriculum is built on research into how people develop lasting skills through immersive experience, intentional practice, and assessment for learning.

Focused Instruction

Lessons, Built for Transfer

Every lesson is designed to do more than introduce a skill. It teaches the human skill directly, has students apply it the same day, and is designed so the skill carries over to the next challenge and to life beyond the classroom.

  • Scripted, educative guides prepare any teacher to facilitate and develop their own skills as they teach.
  • Built on the five CASEL competencies, strengthening the SEL framework your district uses.
  • Multimodal and multilingual by design, with visual and language scaffolds so every learner can take part.
  • Structured reflection helps students name what they did, turning the experience into a skill they can recognize and reuse.

Experiential Learning

Engagement That Builds Real Skills

Skills grow when students use them. Within immersive, story-driven challenges, students take on roles and make real decisions with real stakes, applying skills like collaboration and perseverance in their behavior. A skill practiced that way, in the moment it matters, is one that holds up long after the experience ends.

  • Immersive story and play pull students in, so they stay invested across the year.
  • Teamwork is built into every challenge, fostering a collaborative culture where students rely on one another.
  • Students learn skills by watching and practicing alongside their peers, not just from the teacher.
  • Low-stakes challenges make failure safe, so students take the risks that build perseverance.

Built-In Assessments

Measure Skills as They're Being Built

A Pulse Check is formative, an assessment for learning that runs while students work. As students move through a performance, it captures how they see their own application of the skill and their honest read of how they collaborated or problem-solved when it counted, so the curriculum can respond while there is still time to support them.

  • After each performance, students gauge how well they applied the skill, a self-perception anchored to a real moment of practice.
  • Teachers see where each student stands mid-skill, in time to reteach or stretch before moving on.
  • Growth is tracked against a developmental progression, so a rising score means a genuinely more capable student.

All Curriculum Products Include

Built for the Initiatives Your District Prioritizes

The curriculum is built to strengthen what your district already prioritizes. Grounded in the Human Skills Framework, it supports, integrates with, and aligns to the initiatives you're already invested in.

Social Emotional Learning

SEL Students Apply, With Evidence to Match

The curriculum balances explicit and applied SEL, so students build vocabulary and then practice skills in real-world scenarios. Measurement shows whether the SEL investment is producing growth in the same competencies CASEL names.

Portrait of Learner

The Curriculum Behind Your Learner Profile

The curriculum develops and measures the competencies your Portrait names, so the profile stops being a poster on the wall and becomes something students practice, and you can report on year over year.

Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

Support the Whole Student, and Know It's Working

MTSS is how your district matches support to what each student needs. The curriculum adds the whole-child layer alongside academics, reaching every student and responding to those who need more, with screening and progress data so you can see the support is working.

4Cs

Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking in Practice

The curriculum builds the 4Cs through experiences that require them, then reports growth against the same framework your district already uses, so the 4Cs become measurable rather than aspirational.
